What you’ll be doing

  • Participate in prospective client discovery calls to understand and identify the client’s program challenges and opportunities for new Response Consulting business.
  • Follow the Email Customer Lifecycle approach for evaluating client needs and making Response Consulting product recommendations.
  • Write proposals for new Response Consulting business opportunities, and supports the sales team through the selling process (including negotiation, contract finalization, and project kick-off).
  • Lead project management by setting goals, timelines, and deliverables for each new client engagement. Works in tandem with clients, internal and outside resources to execute the project accordingly, adjust as necessary, and deliver as expected.
  • Conduct detailed business analysis of client email programs, using that analysis to identify problem indicators and areas of vulnerability.
  • Deliver practical, actionable advice based on each client’s business model/goals. Effectively applies various industry best practices to the client’s business in order to improve subscriber experience and response while differentiating the client’s email program to stand out from inbox competition.
  • Communicate across multiple mediums, including the written word, telephone, presentations via web and in person, and to a broad audience consisting of peers and executives within Return Path, client organizations, and the industry.
  • Develop new training material and leads internal initiatives to familiarize the sales and account management teams with Response Consulting products and industry best practices.
  • Stay informed of emerging industry trends by reading reports/publications, participating in training webinars, and attending industry conferences.
  • Contribute to Return Path’s thought leadership in the industry by writing whitepapers and benchmark studies, leading webinars, writing blog postings and industry-published articles, and participating in various conferences/events.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Response Consulting team on departmental initiatives, such as refining existing product offerings and developing new products to meet evolving client needs.
