iContact races for 50,000th Customer
Email Marketing Service iContact has launched an email marketing campaign aimed at those who currently have a trial account with them. Cleverly designed around the impending 50,000th iContact client, there are prizes offered for whoever is lucky enough to that customer will receive an Apple MacBook, iPod touch or a $100 Apple Gift Card.
Great marketing eMail
It is an admirable marketing campaign and my first thought when glancing at it is – “everything is done right with this”. Then I look at it a little more and think “yep, everything really is done right with this.”
Being the editor of The eMail Guide is a lot fun as I get to read and research all latest trends and marketing practices for permission email marketing and iContact’s email incorporates all my favourites.
The marketing email design and strategy highlights include:
- Very simple and focused message subject line
- Clearly states in the subject and header who the email is from
- Does not try to personalize the email to subscribers who are not committed to the service promoted.
- Clear call to action way above the fold, that is not confused with any other call to actions.
- Only three graphics, so they stand out and are the prizes offered so there is the take-away
- One of my personal practices is here as well – rewarding the recipient scrolling down with a coupon code.
