Last weekend I signed up for the 60 day FREE trial of constant contact. On Monday I received an a call from a customer support rep asking me if I had any questions at all. I found installing sign up forms very straightforward, and I like that they offer a “SafeSubscribe” logo option for beneath the sign up form that reassures people it is safe to sign up. See this form in action on http://twittertoolsbook.com. A nice thing about the 60 day free trial is that the service remains free beyond the 60 days, allowing you to continue to capture emails for free. Charges are only implemented after the 60 days when emails are sent.

A major restriction in the 60 day trial version of this service is that it is only free for up to 100 contacts. Once your mailing list surpasses 100 contacts the paid model automatically kicks in. If you are looking for a trial ESP for managing a larger list I know MailChimp offers a “Forever Free” program of up to 500 subscribers and 3,000 emails per month.
