Over 364 days in a year and the email marketing industry has to schedule the only 3 email marketing conferences within 56 days of each other. What the hell are
you guys thinking?
I have 3 reason why I am not attending all 3 events this year:
1 – Budget – If each show is going to cost me approximate $3000 including show admission, airfare, hotel and incidentals, how can I even justify spending close to $10,000 in less than 2 month on learning and networking.
2 – Timing – Who is going to do my job if I am out of the office for close to 2 weeks within the first 8 weeks of the new year?
3 – Overload – How much am I really going to learn at a conference if I just heard the same story last week?
Come on eMail Marketing, lets spread the shows out a bit. Maybe we could have a show in the spring or even one in the fall.
