How to Get Noticed in the Email Inbox (Video)

If you conduct email marketing for your business, I guarantee you that we share something in common.

We both want to increase our open rates. After all… it’s simply good business.

Plus with average email open rates hovering around 22%, there’s a lot of people on our lists who aren’t opening our emails.

Improving email open rates is a big topic and one that I’ve touched on before. But what are some practical things you can implement straight away to help your email get noticed by recipients?

To find out, watch this video and learn how to use your from name, subject line and preheader text to help your email stand out in the inbox and get opened.

Takeaway: Increase your email open rates by perfecting 3 simple elements of your email: the from name, subject line and pre-header text.

Your thoughts here
  1. I was wondering if an industry can have a 99% to 100% opening rate on lists over 100?

    • That’s an interesting question Bridget.

If there is an industry achieving close to 100% open rates – I haven’t heard of them. Such a high open rate is not realistic either in my experience. Human nature, mail filtering and other email marketing factors would make a 100% open rate near impossible.

But that’s not to say you shouldn’t try though :)

As an example from our own research, the highest industry open rate is Government with 35% (more here if you like: http://www.vision6.com.au/metrics/open-rates/industry/).

      Hope this answers your question.
