Happy holidays from The eMail Guide!

xmas-banner

We have a diverse group of people here at The eMail Guide who come from all backgrounds and faiths. While we all observe the holidays in our own way, we share the appreciation of the season as we celebrate the universality of family, love, peace and friendship.

No matter what you believe or when you celebrate, the commonality of these mid-winter observations is thankfulness for the good things of the year past and the hope for a better one to come — along with you and those you love, we celebrate you home, where the heart is.

We celebrate our joy as we glimpse the wonder in a child’s eyes and the magic of their smile.
We celebrate those old friends who give us perspective and keep us grounded.
We celebrate the new friends whose support and patronage brings continued success for the New Year.
We celebrate the everlasting hope of peace and fellowship for all the people of the world.
We celebrate that one candle in the window which welcomes us home no matter how long we’ve been away.
We celebrate you and all you’ve accomplished this past year and we will be here to celebrate your success in the next.

Warmest wishes and safe travels from all of us here at The eMail Guide. We invite you to share your best wishes by posting a comment!

    Well said, Jim.

As email marketers we also have an opporutnity (and responsibility) to treat our subscrcibers as if we were leaving that one candle burning. Not to put too fine a point on it, our customers are our livelihood, and we must advocate for their interests and needs both internally and within our own email marketing team.

How easy to forget that when under pressure to produce more revenue!

Here’s our reminder to send at the right frequency and to segment our audience so that messages are welcome and helpful.

Merry holidays to everyone and Happy New Year! May 2010 be a year of great success for all – and especially the Email Guide readers and team.

    Best,

    Stephanie

That picture is priceless. Funny (quick) story. I have a buddy in Chicago who is a high school teacher. A few kids dared another to put their tongue on the flag pole (ala the picture above … and from A Christmas Story). Pretty sure you know what is next.

Thanks for everything you guys are doing here at the Email Guide. I’m really excited to see how it grows in 2010.

I’ll have a beer (or 10) for you over the holidays.

    Jim, et al:

Wow, the range of bloggers within the email community is vast. It extends for the vast regions of fighting spam to the noble efforts of email content and inbox deliverability. In 2009 I saw the emergence of the “The Email Guide” and how quickly it has evolved. No doubt the internal efforts are demonstrating positive results. Good luck in 2010.
