We both want to increase our open rates. After all… it’s simply good business.

Plus with average email open rates hovering around 22%, there’s a lot of people on our lists who aren’t opening our emails.

    I was wondering if an industry can have a 99% to 100% opening rate on lists over 100?

      That’s an interesting question Bridget.

      If there is an industry achieving close to 100% open rates – I haven’t heard of them. Such a high open rate is not realistic either in my experience. Human nature, mail filtering and other email marketing factors would make a 100% open rate near impossible.

      But that’s not to say you shouldn’t try though 🙂

      As an example from our own research, the highest industry open rate is Government with 35% (more here if you like: http://www.vision6.com.au/metrics/open-rates/industry/).
