Responsys acquires Smith-Harmon Inc.

Responsys extends email and cross-channel marketing services offering with agreement to acquire leading digital marketing services firm.

October 29, 2009Responsys, a global provider of email and cross-channel marketing solutions, today announced the company has entered into an agreement to acquire Smith-Harmon Inc., an award-winning digital marketing services firm with a world-class client list. The acquisition of Smith-Harmon by Responsys strengthens the company’s ability to help marketing organizations with the strategic planning, creative design, and execution of integrated, cross-channel marketing programs.

Specifically, the expertise of Smith-Harmon augments existing Responsys services capabilities to deliver a new integrated offering for best-in-class marketing across email, mobile, social and web channels. The expanded services offering encompasses:

Strategy: Contact strategy, program optimization and reputation management
Creative: Creative transformation, template system design and production retainer
Execution: Full development lifecycle, including data integration, campaign deployment and application development

The combination of this new services offering and the new Responsys Interact Suite announced today at the Responsys Leaders Forum provides the industry’s most comprehensive solution for integrated email and cross-channel marketing.
