This Week’s Challenge Subject Lines
Every week we post a challenge that encourages you to do something different when it comes to your email marketing campaigns in order to become a better email marketer.
This week’s challenge:
Pick one or two messages in this month’s email schedule and come up with 3 subject lines for each message. At the very least, test the two that you think have the most “oomph” to get your subscribers to open.
Why you should take the challenge:
Your calls-to-action will never be answered if your readers are bored with or misled by your subject lines. It’s essential to grab the readers’ attention and give them an enticing morsel of what will be found inside, a taste of the value proposition you will deliver. With proper testing, you will quickly learn what is appetizing to your readers and what needs to be eliminated.
How to test your results:
Testing is the most essential part of the whole email process. Send your different subject lines to segments of your email list and see which ones were opened the most. This will inform your process as you go forward and design more and more appetizing subject lines. That’s the value of this process.
The eMail Guide challenges you to take what you learned and apply that to your future email campaigns. You never really know how the email looks until you see it through the eyes of your subscribers. Tempt and entice with the value you offer.
Thrilled with your results or want to show off what you got? Send us a link to the results you want to share and we’ll post them here. Show us some samples of what works the best for you.
